Our Wellbeing Warriors have a special duty to fulfil within school. At break and lunch times, they ensure they are present and visible to all on the yard, this enables children to actively seek them out if they need to talk to them or simply want some quiet time.
The Wellbeing Warriors aim to:
- Change the way we all think and act about how we feel - this is our mental health.
- Understand and accept that we ALL have different feelings and it is okay to not be okay!
- support others make good choices but won't be able to solve every problem.
- Listen to others so that they can talk about how they are feeling.
- Be non-judgemental

Wellbeing Warriors Events & Activities
February
To celebrate Children's Mental Health Week, the Wellbeing Warriors delivered a whole school assembly which linked to this year's theme 'Know Yourself, Grow Yourself'. The Wellbeing Warriors shared how we can calm our minds when we do feel strong emotions using finger breathing. Following this, the children explored their emotions through a range of activities and reflected on how every feeling is okay. We had lots of fun!

As part of Anti-Bullying Week, the Wellbeing Warriors delivered a whole school assembly based on this year's theme 'Choose Respect'. Some children created their own Anti-Bullying posters at home.
During the whole school assembly, the Wellbeing Warriors also shared information about Odd Socks Day whereby everyone was invited to come into school wearing odd socks to celebrate what makes us unique.

Stranton School supported the 'Hello Yellow' campaign in aid of Young Minds marking World Mental Health Day and the Wellbeing Warriors delivered a whole school assembly to raise awareness of the importance of mental health in young people. Following this, children across school participated in a range of activities linked to this year's theme 'Wear it Loud Wear it Proud'.

To mark Black History Month, we welcomed Transformers Hartlepool into school who delivered an African workshop - children explored African drumming and dancing. Everyone had a great time!
