Sharing Information in our School

As an adoption-friendly school, we: 

• Understand the information-sharing dilemmas adoptive families face
• Understand the range of views children and young people have about their information being shared
• Demonstrate that adopted children are held in mind on admission to the school
• Have a designated teacher who proactively contacts adoptive families
• Make explicit information-sharing agreements with adoptive families
• Overcome barriers to sharing information within school
• Think ahead about how to share information with other adults
