Attachment Aware School
At Stranton Primary School, we believe that ‘Only the best is good enough!' This is underpinned by the core school values of respect, resilience, commitment, inclusivity and ambition. We are committed to ensure all pupils achieve their potential in all areas of school life. We provide a fully inclusive approach to supporting the needs of all pupils within a happy, secure and caring community where the achievements of all children are celebrated. We work together to promote a positive attitude to learning building confident, responsible and resilient pupils. Our goal is to build a learning community with no excuses and no limits to what we can all achieve.
In March 2018 we achieved our 'Adoption Friendly Schools Charter' (PAC UK, DfE initiative in London and Tees Valley). To access the PAC UK website, please click here.
In the words of one adoptive parent:
“What’s good enough for our children is good for all children”
“……..school that is focused on providing attuned, high quality relationships, on supporting the well-being of its staff and on flexibly meeting children’s needs. Even children whose attachment and security needs are well met at home can benefit from a calm, structured and attuned environment in which every pupil feels able to settle to learn. (Dr E Gore Langton, Katherine Boy 2017)
